CERMUSA Staff Participate in American Telemedicine Association Expo
Five CERMUSA staff members participated in the American Telemedicine Association 2009: 14th Annual International Meeting & Exposition, in Las Vegas, NV April 26 -28. This annual meeting is the premiere forum for the healthcare industry to discuss clinical and business issues related to telemedicine. Three CERMUSA PowerPoint presentations and three poster presentations were accepted, including:
- Medical Simulation at a Distance for Emergency Burn Care Training, by Brenda Guzic, RN, BSW, MA, Telehealth Development Specialist.
- Utilizing Telehealth to Support School Nursing Services in Wellness Promotion, by Camille Wendekier, CRRN, MSN, Telehealth Development Specialist.
- Rapidly Deployable Mesh Network for Disaster Communications, by David Wolfe, AAS, Wireless Communications Specialist.
- Training Percussion Therapy Techniques via Video Teleconferencing (VTC) (poster presentation), by Brenda Guzic, RN, BSW, MA, Telehealth Development Specialist.
- Maintaining the Quality of Life While Preserving Independence (poster presentation), by Eric Muncert, BS, Telehealth Development Specialist.
