CERMUSA Staff Participate in ELITE Faculty Development Program
On May 5, 2009, CERMUSA staff participated in the University of Pittsburgh’s Emerging Learning and Integrated Technologies Education (ELITE) Faculty Development Program. This Program consisted of three workshops covering a wide range of topics, including: learning technologies, distance education, emerging informatics technologies, telehealth technologies, and high fidelity human simulation.

Barbara R. Demuth, RN, MSN, Assistant Director for Telehealth and member of the ELITE Executive Committee: Ms. Demuth was assisted in her presentation, Telehealth Tools to Improve Learning: Practicum, by several CERMUSA staff members who provided participants with hands-on experience in the use of a variety of telehealth technologies.

Robert E. Griffin, MS, Assistant Director for Distance Learning: Mr. Griffin’s presentation, I Have All These Wonderful Teaching Tools…Now What Do I Do? described the use of the various educational tools used in telehealth.
